Actor and BJP Leader Dharmendra said that he would not have allowed his son Sunny Deol to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Gurdaspur, had he known that he is contesting against Congress MP Sunil Jakhar
Dharmendra said that Balram Jakhar , who was the father of Sunil Jakhar, was his friend. He went on to say that Deol cannot fight and debate with an experienced politician like Jakhar.
However, he added “ I was watching the road show from Mumbai and there was a big crowd. I got emotional.”
Polling in Gurdaspur will be held on May 19 in the seventh and last phase of elections.
